Alka Singh is an Electrical Engineer in the Electricity Infrastructure & Buildings Division, Energy Systems Engineering Group.
She joined PNNL in 2018, her research includes Advanced Distribution Management Systems, grid resiliency, grid interoperability, and power systems communications.
Before PNNL, she was in the software and IT industry working with British Telecom. She worked as a senior associate consultant and technical lead at Infosys Limited and led the development of solutions for monitoring and reporting (M&R) of communication devices for prominent telecommunication clients.
Alka is currently serving as the Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering Chapter, Richland Section, and represents her division in the DEI Council at PNNL.
She earned her master’s in electrical engineering from Washington State University and her Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from India.
