Jackie Peer
Head of Strategic Business Development, OMICRON Electronics
Jackie M. Peer earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from Washington State University and currently serves at OMICRON electronics as the Head of Strategic Business Development and is the IEEE PES Vice President of Conferences & Meetings.
Prior to her employment at OMICRON, Ms. Peer worked over two decades for Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) where she held a variety of leadership positions in R&D, sales, technical marketing, SEL University, and lead SEL’s Modern Solutions Power Systems Conference – an executive-focused event. She has also held positions with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Consolidated Electrical Distributors, and Clearwater Paper.
Ms. Peer serves on the Northwest Public Power Association (NWPPA) board of trustees and the IEEE PES Governing Board and has served on numerous industry boards in her career.
She is a senior member of IEEE and the Society of Women Engineers, a member of the IEEE Women in Engineering, on the Leadership Advisory Committee for IEEE Women in Power, and the chair for the 2024 NWPPA Women in Public Power Conference.
In 2014, Ms. Peer received The Manufacturing Institute’s Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award, which recognizes women in those four disciplines who have made significant achievements in manufacturing and dedication to elevating other women.
Just as Ms. Peer is a philanthropist and advocate for youth, she is equally passionate about gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
